Neil is a senior business major who plays linebacker on the football team at UNE and spends most of his time doing football related activities or hanging out with friends. He wants everyone to know that surrounding yourself with people you enjoy being with is very important. He believes this is important because there is not a ton to do on campus, so you have to make your own fun and a big part of that is being with people you like being with. On the classroom side of things, he wants everyone to know that it is very important to go to class. Your professors will not make you go to class but if you are someone that shows up every day and puts in effort, they will remember that while they are putting in your final grade and maybe give you those extra points if you need them. These professors also will not chase you around for work, they are perfectly fine with failing you if they have to, so the thing he stresses to newcomers the most is to be self-reliant and get things done like an adult.

Mike is a senior at UNE who is studying in the field of business and plays on the football team as a safety. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games and relaxing. He wants new first year students to know that they should attend sporting events. He says that they are the best thing to do on campus and they are also a great way to make friends. He also wants to let everyone know that you should not use your flex as quickly as possible, you should save it until you get desperate and need something from either the Pub or Windward. A tip he has for move in day is to make sure you have at least one fan as the rooms get very hot very fast. Mike also has some warnings for first year students too. He wants you to be aware of the dining hall food as he does not think it is great and may leave you feeling uneasy afterwards. This is something people have mixed opinions about, not everyone is the same. He also wants to give you a heads up that he believes outside of sporting events, the campus is not very lively, but that all goes back to the people you are friends with. If you make good friends, you will be having fun.
